Michael was born and brought up with a family history of music, in Pretoria 1987. At the age of 8, he started figuring songs out on a keyboard, and became a music addict . His addiction for the greatest art of all time grew from strength to strength.

Michael started playing on his older brother’s guitar at the age of 12. When he reached Pretoria Boys High School, Michael decided to take up saxophone as a study instrument. By the time he reached matric he had achieved his grade 7 examined by the Royal Schools of Music from the UK but despite this achievement with the sax , guitar was his main focus, and continued after his matric .

Michael’s musical influences included the well known rock musicians and bands such as Pink Floyd and Dream Theatre, they are his ultimate favourites. With their long extended soloing, the progressive elements and of course the most amazing musicians and song writers of all time, his dream was thus created.

It is an honour to play the music written by gods themselves and the greatest band of all time, simply for the appreciation of others who understand music the way he does.
